irfanview rocks
URSUS VICTOR. Ok, so I'm a little sick in the head when it comes to naming some things.
Took the original shot this morning on Derek's and my own Photowalk. Was able, with the assistance of the ineffable irfanview program to sepia the crap out of this picture. I did enjoy it.
Peace. And check out the two flickr sites: http://www.flickr.com/photos/grimeystudios/ and http://www.flickr.com/groups/nick-and-dereks-walkabout/ where I occaisionally crop up.
Xs and Os to you all,
Nick

A Week Late, A Fistful of Dollars Short...
Went on the Photowalk last week (back in the saddle tomorrow morning) and here are the salient shots.
Derek, as I have said before, is always worth shooting.
Concrete. Graffiti.
Security cameras, concrete, a lamp.
Concrete. Mmmm.
Lensbaby on the building! Yeah.

Emily Allen from the Photowalk
You might know that Derek and I take one morning a week to arrive and hour early and shoot the city...we hired a model for last week's. Here're some of my results.
Just keep looking at this one...

I used to smoke, now I shoot.
This is the first crop of one below -I prefer the narrower crop, but still like this one.
That's D to the "I look like a bum" Martin.
Busted trash-can lid. Man, I dig that.

Zomg, there are more peekshures / All The Pretty Horses
This was before I knew that all these pretty horses are all ladies...G'mornin, ma'am.
Lunch breaks are exciting when I trek around to avoid inadvertently doing work.
This is right off Mann Rd, just north of Southport road. Got a neat shot of this with an a300 back in November.
This is why I don't usually shoot people when I'm out walking around -the horse is behind an electric fence.

Once more, with feeling!
I just can't hardly pass a utility meter without shooting it. I have the same problem in real life.
I also have a thing for cisterns.

I bought a lens...
I bought the other kit lens -40-150mm f/4-5.6, and have been out taking a piece of digital chalk to the ...really mixed metaphor. Harumnph.
